Design

The Swarf Briquette Press is a heavy duty, robust, quality manufactured machine capable of producing high value, high density swarf briquettes from chips or: Steel, Aluminium, copper & Cast Iron.  There is an inlet feed hopper, pressing chamber, Main Press cylinder, punch & die, Hydraulic oil pumping station & full PLC control system.

Function

The chipped material to be Briquetted is fed into the inlet hopper. This in turn fills the pressing chamber with the required amount of swarf chips. The fast feed cylinder initially energises the ram into the chamber followed by the main cylinder compressing the punch into the die, up against the end plate to create the high-density briquette.  The finished briquettes are pushed out of the end of the die down a chute into the customer’s small bin or optional conveyor to a large skip.

Options: Larger inlet hopper with Automatic feeding conveyor and output conveyors.  Shredder unit prior to feeding so bushy swarf can be reduced to chips.
